SCREEN PRINTING
Screen printing is a technique where a squeegee is moved across a mesh screen, forcing ink through a stencil and onto a garment. This stencil is your design! Each colour requires a separate screen and a fresh new layer of ink.
The screen printing process is permanent, so your design will look vibrant and will never crack, even hundreds of washes later. We will take your artwork – or help you create an amazing design – and bring it to life onto your very own custom garment!
EMBROIDERY
Embroidery is a form of fabric decoration that uses needles and high-quality threads to create rich, textured designs. The stitches created in the process contain extremely durable fibres and will never bleed colour onto your garment.
Our high-speed, computerized, multi-head machines will bring your design to the next level with the utmost accuracy and detail. Our quality assurance experts will then inspect every stitch to make sure the embroidery looks flawless and will stand the test of time. HEAT TRANSFERS
This is the process of transferring vinyl cut-out designs onto a garment with a heat press. Heat transfers are a great option for designs with multiple colours, waterproof or stretchy fabrics, very complicated designs, or in cases where only small quantities of apparel are needed.
Although heat transfers are more cost-effective than screen printing or embroidery, designs can fade over time, and cracking can occur after several runs in the dryer. To extend the life of your garment, we recommend not exposing it to intense heat, and only doing heat transfers onto fabrics that are not heat-sensitive. With the right precautions in place, heat transfers can be a very cost-effective way to create your custom-printed apparel!
ABOUT SCREEN PRINTING
SCREEN PRINTING is the process where T-shirts and other garments are decorated with ink to create an image on a garment. The process is permanent and it is the most common T shirt decorating method. It is the best way to create a totally custom garment. The process should start with good quality art.
ART needs to be in a high resolution format, preferably 300 dpi (or higher), or in an editable EPS (Encapsulated Post Script) format. If you cannot get your art in this format, we can convert it for you. Send us a jpeg, png , psd. Adobe Illustrator CC file and/or Photoshop CC!
NEXT, we create a virtual proof for you, in PDF or JPEG format, using the color(s) of garment you have chosen. You can print an order on more than one color of garment if the ink colors that you are using will show up on the garment. We generally suggest sticking to a light or dark color palette of shirts.
ONCE the virtual proof is approved, the next step for us is to take your art and separate it into the different color components using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. An individual screen is made for each color in the design, and set up on the screen printing press in a fashion so the colors line uptogether, although they are printed separately. The set up process is commonly referred to as REGISTRATION.
THEN WE PRINT! First a test print to make sure the job is registered. If all looks good we run the presses, print your shirts, cure them as they go down the dryer and Voila! You have a custom made, screen printed shirt.
